Not one phone call or email was sent my way during the time I was being billed. I had to investigate what was going on to finally get the job done.
Needless to say, the oral quote I received was nowhere near what I paid: Said it was about a two day job. Ended up taking seven. The job was explained to be done one way and actually done another way. Materials, that he claimed would be "minor", ended up being 20% of the overall bill.
Don't make my mistake: I asked for a written estimate and they said "they don't like to do that". Still, I let them do the work because they were able to quickly get in and get the work done. Boy, was that a bad idea.
When I asked questions, I got talked around and spoken to like I didn't understand that they have building codes. Most of the reasoning I was given was disputed by a retired electrician I spoke to.
Overall, the work is done, but I would never...ever...recommend them. If you want them to bid. Get it in writing. As for me, never...ever...again.
